Om Swastiastu. Goa Gajah Temple is one of the oldest and historic temple that became a symbol and witness the development of Hindu and Buddhist civilization in Bali. Goa gajah, if it literally interpreted means Elephant . Why is it called goa Gajah? because one of the temple there is a cave with a large carving at the entrance which resembles an elephant, then that is called Pura Goa Gajah.

Goa Gajah Temple is still has a debate when was built in spesific time, but the kingdom of Majapahit patterned by Hindu and Buddhist which dominated the entire Indonesian archipelago when it has a record in 1365 AD stated that the temple of Goa Gajah was built by a kingdom in Bali called Bedahulu empire at 11th century AD.
